Information Gathering

When you call Best Doctors, you will be connected to a Best Doctors Member Advocate, a Registered Nurse, who will be dedicated to your case throughout the entire process. The Member Advocate takes your complete medical history and ensures that every one of your questions is answered.

It is important to note that Best Doctors does not replace your relationship with your current physician. Rather, we offer additional resources, support and information to you and your treating doctors.

Once the consent form for the collection of your medical information is signed, we undertake on your behalf the collection of your medical records.

The information you share will never be passed on to your employer or health insurance plan.

Information Analysis

Best Doctors will contact your doctors and medical facilities to collect all of the pertinent medical information in your case. A team of Harvard-trained physicians makes an in-depth analysis of this information and pathology is re-tested at a Centre of Excellence renowned for reviewing some of the most complex cases in the world.

From their initial diagnosis, the team selects the Best Doctors specialist who is best qualified in your illness. The Best Doctors specialist makes a final decision based on all of the medical files and tests, and then delivers the findings and recommendations back to your Member Advocate.

Solutions

You and your doctor will receive an easy-to-understand report from Best Doctors summarizing the expert doctor’s findings and confirming the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. The Member Advocate will carefully review all the information with you and answer any questions you may have. Now, you and your doctor have the answers you deserve to confidently choose the most appropriate next steps together. Best Doctors is always available for follow up questions.
